Cat Care Community was founded on July 29, 2015, as a project born in the RISEBA Business Incubator. Today, we are one of Latvia’s most active cat rescue and welfare charities.

We are a public benefit organization helping stray cats without running a physical shelter. We work with digital tools, loving volunteers, and big hearts.

Our projects

  • We offer second chances to cats who have lost everything. Every rescued cat receives a safe foster home, medical care, and loving support to recover physically and emotionally. So far, we’ve helped over 3,500 cats.

See adoptable cats on Facebook or Pukainis.lv.

  • We build warm, weatherproof shelters from durable materials to protect stray cats from cold, dogs, and storms. These shelters also help keep neighborhoods cleaner and safer. We’ve already installed over 250 shelters across Latvia.

  • We believe change happens when people come together. Whether you want to volunteer, organize a fundraiser, or offer professional advice — you can make a difference.

  • We help rescued cats find lifelong homes full of love. We carefully screen adopters to ensure each cat finds a family it can trust forever. 3,000+ cats rehomed and counting.

  • Knowledge saves lives. Through our blog and social media, we raise awareness about sterilization, shelter adoption, and responsible pet care. Find us on Facebook and Instagram.

  • We work with cat colonies in various Riga neighborhoods — sterilizing cats, providing shelters, and delivering food when needed. Every donation supports this vital frontline work.

Naftanyushka Found a Home

Little Naftanyushka, a black kitten with a white spot under his neck, had been waiting for someone to notice him. All his siblings had already been adopted, and he was left alone at the clinic, watching every visitor with hope.
